As a student I could not settle on one specific media so I tried my hand at everything offered, photography, printmaking, painting, ceramics, drawing, and film making.  This diverse training in creativity inspired me to share my experience in the arts with children.  Teaching has been a wonderful give and take relationship.  As I share techniques and appreciation, the children share discovery and introspection.

My recent work has focused primarily on rediscovering my past and finding, what writers call, my “voice as an artist.  I have collected pictures of my family, images I have created, and found objects to draft the story that is my life.  I have combined a variety of media and processes to create a personal retelling of events and people that have formed the man I am today.  The “story boxes” are made to be handled and observed form all sides to create an intimate space.  Other recent works have evolved from my experimentation with media and development of a narrative style.
