    Looking for the world of art and art from around the world?  You can find these things and much more in historic downtown Loachapoka, Alabama, at the Rattling Gourd Gallery!

    The Rattling Gourd Gallery is an art salon and retail space featuring a fine art gallery; distinctive regional arts and crafts; antiques, and imported art, crafts, and gifts from countries such as Bali, Brazil, Haiti, Mexico, Nepal, South Africa and Kenya.

     The Gallery is housed in a newly-renovated 1907 Victorian home nestled in a spacious shady lot on U.S. Highway 14, right next to Fred’s Feed and Seed.  The house itself is worth a visit just to admire its whimsical, multicolored exterior and lush, elegant grounds.  It is an architectural gem offering 3,800 square feet devoted primarily to promoting the visual arts.

    We also are a hub of social events.  Throughout the year, the Rattling Gourd Gallery hosts receptions for the artists it represents. Look at our Upcoming Gallery Events. Our picturesque patios and gardens also can be reserved for special private events and parties.
